These are listing/directory platforms where clients search for therapists. Unlike marketplaces, these don't handle billing or sessions -- they drive referrals to your private practice.
Must-Have (Immediate Setup)¶
1. BACP Therapist Directory¶
- URL: bacp.co.uk
- Cost: Included with BACP membership (~£108/year) + optional advertising fee
- Requirements: BACP registered/accredited member
- Why: Gold standard. Every UK client checks here first. Also has supervisor listing.
2. UKCP Find a Therapist¶
- URL: psychotherapy.org.uk
- Cost: Included with UKCP membership
- Requirements: UKCP registered practitioner
- Why: Essential for psychotherapists. Strong credibility signal.
3. Psychology Today UK¶
- URL: psychologytoday.com/gb
- Cost: ~£25/month
- Why: Best organic search visibility. Shows up #1 on Google for "therapist near me". Detailed profiles with specialisms, photos, approach. Can filter by eating disorders, family therapy, Spanish language, supervision.
4. Counselling Directory¶
- URL: counselling-directory.org.uk
- Cost: From ~£30/month
- Why: One of the most popular UK directories. High traffic. Also has supervisor search functionality.
5. BEAT HelpFinder (Eating Disorder Specialist)¶
- URL: helpfinder.beateatingdisorders.org.uk
- Cost: Free to list (if meeting criteria)
- Why: THE specialist directory for eating disorders in the UK. Parents desperate for help come here. With 20 years CAMHS eating disorder experience, Nuria is exactly who they want. High-intent referrals.

6. NCFED (National Centre for Eating Disorders)¶

- Why: Another specialist ED directory. Positions her as recognised ED practitioner.
7. Harley Therapy¶
- URL: harleytherapy.com/apply
- Model: Platform commission per session. Clients pay £100-150/session.
- Requirements: Qualified, registered with UK professional body, fully insured
- Why: Premium positioning. Handles booking and payments.
8. Welldoing.org¶
- URL: welldoing.org
- Why: Mixed reviews on referral volume but good for CPD opportunities and professional community.
9. Therapy Directory (for breathwork)¶
- URL: therapy-directory.org.uk
- Why: Covers both therapy AND breathwork. Can list as breathwork specialist.
10. NCS Directory¶
- URL: National Counselling Society directory
- Why: Another professional body directory alongside BACP and UKCP.
11. Choose Therapy¶
- URL: choosetherapy.co.uk
- Why: Curated, vetted UK platform. Interview-based selection. Good reputation.
12. HelloSelf¶
- URL: helloself.com
- Status: Currently closed to new associates
- Client rates: £115-130/session
- Why: Premium. Handles admin, invoicing, late payment chasing. Worth joining when they reopen.
Bilingual-Specific Directories¶

- If applicable, a diversity-focused directory that clients search.

- LGBTQIA+ specialisation directory. If relevant to her practice.
